We are proud to announce the winners of our St. Patrick's Day 3D Design Challenge! 🍀 Our high school students demonstrated remarkable creativity by using Tinkercad to design keychains. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Larry Massey, a beloved teacher and member of the Louisiana School for the Deaf family. 🎉 Huge shoutout to our January Students of the Month! 🌟 Your hard work and dedication inspire us all! Keep soaring! ✨

Happy Saturday! One of our favorite things is seeing our older students supporting and mentoring our younger students. At Deaf schools, young Deaf and hard of hearing children get the benefit of having many Deaf role models through not only staff, but older students too. We love seeing these student role models and mentors helping and teaching our younger students daily! 💚

🌟 Every student shines in their own way! ✨ Many of our new deaf and hard of hearing students face learning gaps, but we believe in their potential! 💪 Let’s nurture their journey together.

School starts back next Tuesday for our War Eagles! Dorm students will be bussed to campus on Monday, and school begins again on Tuesday for everyone. With temperatures dropping over the next few weeks, please be sure your students are wearing dress-code approved layers to stay warm. If you are in need of any items, please contact the office to let them know.

Can you tell we miss our students? 💚 Check out some of these photos of them in action before the winter break! We had PBIS events around campus, club time (where you see the STEM club at work), and a high school virtual visit with Gallaudet University admissions! 💻 📚
