LSVI is one of two lucky sites in Louisiana to have a LightSound device, a solar eclipse sonification tool that allows the Blind and Low Vision (BLV) community to experience a solar eclipse with sound. This tool converts light intensity data to sound. As the Moon eclipes the Sun during a Solar Eclipse, the sunlight begins to dim and the LightSound device will output a change in musical tone. The device will be connected to a speaker to project the sound for the group. If you follow the link below, you can join the LightSound live eclipse streaming event on April 8, 2024 from 1-3 PM CDT/2-4 PM EDT.
Navigate the page to look for the live link. Happy Solar Eclipse watching!!!
