Transportation Services

The first step toward educational success for any student is to get to school on time, every day! Safety is priority when transporting our students to and from school and events.  Since our campuses serve both day and residential students in grades PK through 12, our transportation needs are diverse and can be challenging.

Louisiana Schools for the Deaf and the Visually Impaired

Daily routes are provided for students who live in East Baton Rouge Parish. Currently, several local school districts also provide daily and/or weekly transportation for students who reside in their parish.  There are numerous bus routes through major cities provided throughout the student with designated stops.  Buses on these routes transport students to and from school on a weekly basis. Parents are responsible for getting their children to and from these bus stops at pre-determine times. Whether it is daily, weekly, or bi-weekly, the district works with parents and transportation providers to ensure that student transportation is dependable and safe. For day students attending the Louisiana Schools for the Deaf and the Visually Impaired, we work with various parishes to coordinate transportation services for morning and afternoon drop-off/pick-up. Residential students are transported on a weekly basis through our contracted charters as well as partnerships with various parishes.
